Appendix 1: Vehicle usage rules
In addition to the "rules" and obligations described in the Zipcar contract, "member" must also carefully note and follow the "rules" described in this "Appendix". All applicants for Zipcar membership should read and understand these Rules before applying and paying for any associated driving record / insurance verification fee, application fee, and / or membership fee. By becoming a "Member" or by continuing to retain the "Member" status, you acknowledge and agree to comply with all of the following "Rules", and these Rules should also apply to all Associate Members. The quotation marks used in this appendix have the same meaning as those in the "contract".
Can use the vehicle's personnel
Only Zipcar members with proper driver's license and good reputation can drive Zipcar. Non-Member prohibits from driving Zipcar at any time. Members can drive another Zipcar which is booked by another member, but all fees, charges and any DFW application should be based on the "member" of the reservation and the responsibility is attached to the subscribed "member."
Zipcar vehicles are not allowed under the following conditions:
a. Any speed race or competition
b. For the purpose of towing, carrying on or advancing any trailer or any other vehicle;
c. Based on the main business purpose of carrying person or operating as a taxi service;
d. Under influence of (i) alcohol or (ii) any medicine or drug;
e. Engaged in any criminal activity or any other illegal activity or purpose;
f. Using the vehicle in a hasty, neglectful or abusive manner or in any other unusual way;
g. Provide fake information to Zipcar or its content is judged to be fake information (including, but not limited to, name, age or address);
h. Carrying more passengers, luggage or other items than the number of seats in the vehicle designed to cause the vehicle overload;
i. Carrying or transporting any harmful, poisonous, flammable, dangerous or illegal material; or
j. Using a mobile device while driving may prevent you from driving in attention, sending and receiving text messages while driving, emailing, using a mobile phone without a hands-free device, or engaging in similar activities that may be illegal. The preceding example is not exhaustive. Zipcar will, as appropriate, determine that any unjustified or inappropriate use of Zipcar vehicles is a violation of these "Rules." Without limiting the foregoing, Member must always use Zipcar vehicles in accordance with all roads and other applicable laws and regulations. Zipcar will report the matter to the appropriate authorities if any use of Zipcar vehicle or other activities is against the law.
If "Member" violates any of the above Rules, Zipcar will immediately suspend or terminate the use of its services. Zipcar may, as appropriate, suspending/terminating the membership or cancel any existing reservations made by Member or Associate Member, as the case may be. In addition, Member is responsible for any costs, fees and expenses incurred by Zipcar or incurred as a result of any breach penalties.
Book Zipcar vehicles
Members must order Zipcar vehicles prior to use, and will usually charge for the reservation at the time of booking. Zipcar vehicles are booked at least for an hour. If a Zipcar vehicle is available for use, then the booking time can by half an hour, as set forth in Section 3.2 below. Use of the vehicle for more than seven days may be authorized by Zipcar as appropriate and must be arranged by Zipcar representatives. Continuous (calendar days) booking the same Zipcar vehicle will be considered and charged as a single booking and continuous use.
If you wish to cancel your booking or shorten the booking period for your vehicle, (a) for reservations of less than 8 hours, you must cancel the reservation at least 3 hours in advance of the scheduled reservation, and (b) For more than 8-hour reservation, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the start of use Zipcar. If you don’t cancel or shorten your booking mentioned above, certain changes or cancellations may be charged. If you wish to extend your reservation, you will be able to extend it only if: (i) the vehicle is available for an extended period of rental (for example, when there are no other "member" reservations); (ii) completed the extended request prior to the end of existing reservation (Iii) there are sufficient balances / funds available on the credit card used for the booking in order to cover the cost of the extended reservation.
Zipcar's member service center will do the same for your request for extending or canceling. However, will charge you an agency fee for TWD 25 per call. Extend, shorten or cancel a reservation on your own via web site, smart phone or through automated telephone system (note that unless the member receives an extended reservation confirmation message from Zipcar or the extension of booking is invalid via SMS) no agency fee will be charged. This charge does not apply to (a) booking for a period for 4 consecutive days or more in accordance with Section 3.1 above, or (b) as stated in the Handicapped Member Service Addendum, if you are a disabled person and you are disabled to use smart phone or automated phone system.
Pick-up and drop-off / vehicle status / vehicle theft / loss of belongings and property
You must pick up your car from the designated Zipcar parking space and keep the car safe, clean, with at least 1/4 tank capacity, in good condition, and park back the Zipcar vehicle after you finish. If car is available to use, you can use up to 10 minutes prior to the scheduled car usage time at no additional charge, and if you want to use the car more than 15 minutes in advance, additional charges will apply, Thirty (30) minutes to increase the booking time. Note that using car before scheduled booking start time may result in the promotion (eg, overnight) discount price no longer apply, instead applying a generic rate for your booking.
Before taking the car, be sure to thoroughly inspect the car's exterior and interior spaces and record the car's condition in pictures (exterior, interior, and damaged parts clearly labeled). You must notify Zipcar Service Center by phone immediately before driving, if Zipcar vehicle appearance or any damage or abnormalities found during operation of the vehicle. Without prejudice to the foregoing, if the warning light remains lit after activation of the ignition system, any indication of liquid leakage near the vehicle, any cracks or embrittlement of the windshield, loss of signal or driving lighting or Inoperable, ruptured or missing rear-view mirror, and any other condition that caused the vehicle to fail to operate safely should be reported to Zipcar.
If we do not inform Zipcar of the problem at the beginning of the reserved car's time, we will assume that you are responsible for any vehicle problems that you have discovered or reported after the car's start, including, but not limited to, vehicle damage, cleanliness or insufficient fuel. We may charge you for car damage, cleaning, underpricing or other applicable fees, and Zipcar may suspend or even terminate your membership.
At the end of the reserved car's time, the car's key, induction key ring or other starter must be left on the car and / or put back in the car's designated location. The vehicle must be locked at any time (using the Zipcard or Zipcar mobile app) if the vehicle is not used during the reserved car. Zipcar must be notified immediately if you did not leave a key / keychain / starter, fuel card, or parking ticket. We will charge you the hourly rate before you return the key / keychain / starter and you are still responsible for the vehicle during this time. We will also charge you for the replacement of any missing items in the vehicle.
The booked member is responsible for all costs and costs associated with the vehicle for the entire duration of the booking until the vehicle is returned in a safe, closed, locked condition and ready for use (all accessories are closed, the key is kept away from the ignition system and placed in position, and all vehicles windows, doors, hatchback doors, skylights and other openings are closed, fuel cards, parking passes and other accessories are in the car), and also car to its designated location. The booked member must return the Zipcar before the end of the reserved car's time and be sure to record the car's condition (external, internal, and damaged parts and clearly marked) as photographs, and must be swipe away from the car upon completion. The scheduled "Member" will still have to pay the full amount for the entire booking even if you drop the car early. Early return of more than one hour, you can advance the mobile app to shorten the order time, or call Member Center 02-66-219-219 request to change the return time, will be exempt from half the amount of unused hours. In the event of a rollover, booking "Membership" shall be responsible for the corresponding vehicle dispatch fee as stated in the Charges Policy. Members who return the car at any other location than the designated car-return point will be charged NT $ 3,000 additional fee.
If the vehicle is stolen, it should be reported immediately and the Zipcard should be returned immediately to Zipcar to prove that "Member" still holds a Zipcard while the vehicle is stolen.
Members must check that personal belongings are not left in Zipcar vehicles. Zipcar will use its reasonable efforts to notify the owner of the lost property; however, Zipcar will not be responsible for any personal belongings left behind in the car or stolen from the car, and "Member" agrees not to require Zipcar to be responsible for any such personal property, Items belong to "members" or any third parties all the same. Zipcar records any items Zipcar finds in the car and holds it for not less than a month. Personal items unclaimed during the period will be forwarded to charity or handled by Zipcar as appropriate.
For electric vehicles, Member must insert the vehicle into the vehicle charging station at the end of the reserved car's time. Failure to charge the vehicle may incur an additional charge as stated in the fee policy.
Refueling supplies and eligible costs
Zipcar will ship your first 60 kilometers of fuel when you use Zipcar. This limit applies to bookings of less than or equal to 24 hours each and if you drive more than this limit you will be charged TWD 3 per kilometer of fuel. If your reservation is more than 24 hours (one day), the amount of fuel will be increased by the number of days. Zipcar system will do for you and charge all the costs, you can login member's order details for detailed calculation of fuel costs.
Although our system manages all fuel costs, you must add Gasoline / Diesel to Zipcar cars if you reduce the tank fuel to less than 1/4 when driving. So each Zipcar car is equipped with a CNG and a National Gas Station fuel card for fueling at any CNG and National Gas Station sites. If a fuel card is lost or unusable, Zipcar will write-off your actual fueling charge up front in accordance with Section 5.3 below. When returning a car, Members must ensure that there is at least 1/4 fuel in the tank. If the tanker is less than 1/4 fuel, we will charge you according to the cost policy. Zipcar fuel cards can only be used to refuel Zipcar vehicles and to clean the exterior and / or interior spaces of the vehicle as described below and not for any other purpose. In refueling Zipcar vehicles, member must ensure they are using the correct fuel (petrol or diesel). Gas cleaning costs and any other damage or expense (including roadside assistance, towing, recovery, etc.) resulting from incorrect fueling are not subject to "vehicle damage costs" and are not covered by Zipcar Insurance or DFW.
"Eligible Expenses" is defined as (a) "Membership" expenses incurred due to routine maintenance of Zipcar vehicles (up to NT $ 500), such as new wipers, light bulbs or windshield washers, ( b) the cost of refueling the lost or unusable fuel card, and (c) any other costs previously authorized by Zipcar's representative. If you pay for "Eligible Charges," you must keep an actual receipt that reflects the purchased item or service and the date and time of purchase, which must be during your booking, along with the odometer reading at the time of purchase. Please write down your name and fax it to 02-2962-5961, or mail the receipt to us within thirty (30) days of the reserved car's time, and we will have it in the amount of Z money back to your Zipcar account. If you do not provide a receipt or submit a receipt 30 days or more after the reserved car's date, we will not be able to offer Z-money or a refund.
Repair / clean
Zipcar will perform all necessary and routine maintenance on all vehicles. However, "Member" is responsible for vehicle cleaning, and we expect "Members" to help us maintain the driving safety and performance of the vehicle, especially when booking for a longer period or when the vehicle indicates a need for service or repair by calling 02-6621-9219.
Members must respond to all warning lights, howling and other lights and reminders. Zipcar will maintain and maintain the Zipcar on a regular basis and we anticipate that Member will assist in routine maintenance (eg, checking levels, filling windscreen washer fluid and cleaning vehicle exterior / interior space as required (Zipcar up to NT $ 200 vehicle cleaning fees and a specific Zipcar fuel card in the vehicle can be used to pay for cleaning of the vehicle outside and minor repairs have been made or have been done to help ensure that the vehicle is safe to use (eg during vehicle ownership Replacement of wipers and light bulbs.) In general, such minor maintenance and repair costs are considered as "eligible costs" and can be written off in accordance with Section 5.2 above.
Vehicles may request roadside assistance at any time. Zipcar provides roadside assistance and this is also part of our service. However, if Member is in need of roadside assistance because of a breach of this Contract or Zipcar's Rules, Member will be charged for the service.
If Zipcar causes atypical noise or driving sensation, including but not limited to warning lights, improper or strange engine sounds or other mechanical sounds, changes in performance or unusual driving sensations, you must promptly report to Zipcar. Failure to report such anomalies during the use of Zipcar vehicles may result in the immediate suspension or termination of the "Membership" qualifications, and "Members" shall be liable for any loss sustained by the continued use of the Vehicle for ignoring such anomalies. Such damages are not subject to "vehicle damage costs" and do not belong to the scope of Zipcar Insurance or DFW coverage.
Fault or accident
Any breakdown, accident or similar incident involving a Zipcar vehicle, "Member" must immediately report to Zipcar at 02-6621-9219
Failure and roadside assistance. When using the vehicle, you must follow the owner's manual instructions. If problems occur that result in or restrict the use of your vehicle, or may be endangering your safety, you should immediately notify Zipcar or follow Zipcar's instructions. If Zipcar's delegate authorizes members to pay for towing, repairs and other expenses (in which case these amounts will be deemed "verifiable" as described in clause 5.2), or at After the Zipcar's representative approves these costs from the Zipcar account through the relevant service provider.
Emergency start. Zipcar should be notified immediately if you are carrying out an emergency start-up on Zipcar vehicles. You are solely responsible for any loss resulting from improper use of jumpers or other tools. It is strictly forbidden to provide emergency start on any vehicle other than Zipcar.
ACCIDENT. In the event of a Zipcar vehicle incident involving a financial loss or any third party, the Member must call the police immediately and obtain the Road Traffic Accident Registration Form and complete Zipcar's incident reporting form with the following information:
Date, time and place of the accident;
The license plate number of any other vehicle involved, the vehicle depot and year of manufacture, the identification number (serial number) and the insurance voucher number (including the name, address and telephone number of the insurer);
c. The name, address and driver's license number of the person involved in the accident;
d. The name, address and driver's license number of the owner (if not the driver)
e. Name, address and phone number of witnesses, passengers and any other relevant persons;
f. The circumstances of the accident; and
g. Regardless of liability or negligence, police reports are required.
Investigation and procedure. "Member" must provide Zipcar and any other Claims Services staff with the results of any report or any notice that Zipcar is liable or sued for any incident involving a Zipcar vehicle. "Member" agrees to cooperate fully with Zipcar in the investigation and defense of any such claim or action. The Member Account will be suspended until the investigation is completed.
"Member" shall be responsible for the cost of repairs, repairs and uses of any Zipcar vehicle resulting from any of the foregoing incidents, as well as all third party personal injury and property damage until the current "Car" as stated in the "Rate Appendix" Loss "(except those who purchased DFW). Members can review the estimated amount for any fee and can assess the cost before repairs. Please note that as stated in Article 5.1 of the "Contract", "Member" shall be responsible for all losses and expenses incurred as a result of failure to comply with the terms of the "Contract".
You must be responsible for any traffic violations that occur during your reserved car use or for any traffic violations you incur on Zipcar vehicles. These traffic violations include, but are not limited to, parking, speeding, red light running, automatic speed cameras and toll booths. You are responsible for all penalties / costs incurred as a result of any such violation and include the new overtime payment penalties and any penalties / costs imposed by the counties that issue the tickets. You are responsible for all toll booths and any fines resulting from evasion of charges. If it is speeding, the vehicle's license plate will be forfeited to the government for a specified period of time. You should be responsible for Zipcar's potential loss of revenue during the license plate confiscation. If possible, "members" should be responsible for paying the funds directly to the relevant authorities. Zipcar may charge a penalty of 10% as a fee for any such violation. You must report any such violations to Zipcar as soon as practicable within the deadlines set by the violation (for example, if the case is to be referred to the court). See "Expense Policy" for other charges that may apply to non-compliance.
You must notify Zipcar of any traffic violation notices that you find on your vehicle when you pick up your car. If all unreported traffic violations occur while the member is using or in charge of the Zipcar, the "Member" is responsible for handling the violations.
At the end of the reserved car's time, you may not park your car in an area with parking restrictions. If you park your vehicle in such restricted area, you must notify Zipcar immediately and you will be liable for any and all non-compliance notices or costs incurred by Zipcar.
Zipcar will pay a penalty fee / fee on behalf of "Member" and send a penalty fee / fee to Zipcar directly to Zipcar in case of non-compliance with parking rules during or after the Member's booking for the use of the vehicle Zipcar may transfer the penalty / fee liability to "Member" to an account of "Affiliate" or, if permitted by the appropriate notice of the non-compliance notice, "Member" thereafter shall be fully responsible for all communications with the appropriate authority and any payment Fine / fee. Zipcar will always notify Member of the manner in which it was taken, and will do its best to notify "Member" first and then pay any penalty / fee. After Zipcar pays, Member may not be able to challenge the fine / fee. Zipcar owns the right to file a complaint or transfer liability for any traffic or parking charges received by any relevant authority or agency and is at the sole discretion of Zipcar.
Access card / Unlock your car by Zipcar
When using a Zipcard vehicle, Member must bring their Zipcard and use a card or smart phone to lock and unlock Zipcard vehicles. Zipcar-affiliated car rental companies, caretakers, and other businesses may require Zipcar members to present their Zipcard for service. Zipcar agrees to unlock or lock the vehicle remotely for the "Member" who forgets or loses its Zipcard at the beginning or at the end of "Booking Period".
Smoking and pets
Smoking is strictly forbidden in Zipcar vehicles, and pets are not allowed unless they are kept in locked cages; however, assisting animals do not need to be placed in cages, as described in the Appendix for Disabled Members Services Inside the car. If evidence of smoking or pets appears in Zipcar vehicles, we will charge "Members" a specific fee.
Appendix 2: Expense Policy
By joining Zipcar, Member agrees to pay Zipcar for the costs, fees and expenses described in the Contract, including, but not limited to, the costs described in this Appendix. The following are not exhaustive and other specific fees, costs and charges may apply. Both parties agree that the following fees are a true estimate of the costs incurred by Zipcar due to any of the actions below. The quotation marks used in this appendix have the same meaning as those in the "contract".
Return Car late:
If you return the car late, you will be charged a vehicle dispatch fee at least NT $ 1,000 and at most NT$3,000 in addition to the car fee for the unexpired period.
When the car tank fuel less than 1/4:
If the Zipcar vehicle has less than a quarter of the fuel tank on the car and affects other users using cars, Zipcar will charge NT $ 500 to cover business losses and other users' right.
Cancel or shorten the booking time
Zipcar may cancel or refund all fees for the following bookings: (i) for bookings of less than 8 hours, bookings canceled less than 3 hours prior to scheduled bookings or earlier, or (ii) Or for reservations longer than 8 hours, canceling the booking 24 hours prior to the scheduled car rental reservation or earlier.
For bookings less than 8 hours in car duration, you have to pay full amount of the reservation if canceled or shortened less than 3 hours prior to the scheduled reserved car use time (some of which may be part of the cancellation or change, May be included in the invoice as a usage fee).
For bookings of 8 hours or longer, you have to pay the full amount of the reservation if you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled time for the reserved car, up to a daily rent of up to a maximum of one day. (Part of the fee may be used as an invoice).
For bookings with a duration of 8 hours or more, you are obligated to pay the actual usage fee plus the cancellation or change fee equivalent to the remaining portion of the original booking if you shorten the booking time within 24 hours prior to the scheduled reservation , Of which the cancellation / change fee cap is capped at one day's rent (some of which may be used as cancellation or modification fees and some may be included in invoices as usage fees).
In addition, except as stated in the Appendix on Disabled Member Services, Members may pay TWD if they sign up, extend or cancel their subscription through their "Member Services" representatives (instead of using websites, smartphones or automated telephone systems) 25 yuan agent booking fee.
Vehicle damage costs:
If there is an accident during your possession or control of the vehicle, we will charge you an amount up to the "Vehicle Damage Fee" limit unless you have already purchased a DFW. Zipcar may change "Vehicle Damage Costs" as appropriate. See "Rate Addendums" for your driving plan to learn about your current "Vehicle Costs" cap. Please note that as stated in Section 5.1 of the Contract, Member may be liable for all applicable loss and expense arising out of the failure of Member to comply with the terms of the Contract, including costs that exceed the applicable 'Vehicle Damage Fee'.
For any violation of Zipcar's rules, "Member" must pay a normal fee of at least NTD1000 and at most NTD3000 per violation. In addition, Members have to pay Zipcar any fees (including all maintenance and restitution fees, legal fees, including but not limited to lawyer fees) for the following reasons: (a) because of a violation of the Code or because of the "member" As a result, you will need to check your vehicle at any time, or (b) for any other breach that is caused by Members' failure to comply with any of the terms of the "Contract" or "Rule," except where the "Rules" clearly stipulate a specific fee or charge .
